Having mastery of basic reading and mathematics allows people to navigate independently through day-to-day life and contribute to the greater community in meaningful ways. An education is the first step in setting the foundation for a successful career, a fruitful life, and can serve as a fresh start to open new doors. For this reason, UMOS offers services that cater to a variety of specific goals.
UMOS’ Adult Education services provide one-on-one, small group, and large classes of:
GED test preparation in
English and Spanish
English as a Second
Language (ESL)
General adult basic
education in reading and
mathematics
High School Equivalency
Diploma (5.09) in Spanish
in collaboration with MATC.
UMOS is also a certified Pearson Vue Test Center which offers a multitude of professional tests to individuals in the community beyond GED testing services. Adult Education and Test Center services are offered at UMOS Job Center Southeast in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

What is the UMOS test center schedule?
The Pearson Vue test center offers testing every Tuesday-Thursday afternoon from 12:15 to 4:30 p.m. Test candidates are asked to arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to test time.
