
Milwaukee Job Center Southeast Resources
UMOS is not the only agency that provides workforce development services at Milwaukee Job Center Southeast, also referred to as the One-Stop Center, or Career Opportunity Center (COC). The following agencies also provide a wide range of programs and services to assist individuals and families with various needs:
- Social Development Commission (SDC) – serves as the W-2 Eligibility and Assessment Agency (EAA), conducting intakes and processing W-2 applications and assessments. SDC also operates the Emergency Assistance (EA) and Energy Assistance programs. For more information, call (414) 326-2868.
- Milwaukee Enrollment Services (MilES) – accepts applications for and manages ongoing services related to FoodShare, Medicaid and Wisconsin Shares (child care assistance). For more information about these programs, call (888) 947-6583.
- Veterans' Services – assists veterans to obtain employment or find better job/training opportunities. For more information, call (414) 389-6600.
- Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) – provides instruction for English as a Second Language (ESL), and GED/HSED classes. For more information, call (414) 389-6600.
- Wisconsin Job Service – staffs the Resource Room, and facilitates various re-employment workshops and the Trade

Open to the general public, the Resource Room, located right inside Milwaukee Job Center Southeast, provides easy-to-use touch screen job search resources. Computers are available to individuals looking for work, enabling them to connect with the State of Wisconsin's jobs network, review job postings and complete online job applications.
One can search for jobs based on location, occupation, pay range, qualifications and more. Telephones are also available for job search purposes as well as a fax machine, copier and printer. Individuals may also use computers to create or update resumes and cover letters; however, one-on-one staff assistance is limited.
