UMOS is currently funded as a direct grantee program and a delegate agency of the Texas Migrant Council, Inc. (TMC). Both programs offer and provide Migrant and Seasonal Head Start services to migrant children and their families.

As a grantee program, UMOS operated Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs in Wisconsin and Missouri during the months of June through approximately October. UMOS is funded to provide MSHS services to 255 migrant children, from six weeks to five years of age at six different locations. In some locations the UMOS MSHS centers are co-located with an emergency housing shelter/housing facility. The Montello Center, in Montello, Wisconsin, is one of two such collaborative projects with programs such as the Shelter Subsidy, Comprehensive, Emergency Shelter and local FEMA programs that provided shelter and housing assistance to over 500 families in an effort to prevent homelessness among farmworker individuals and families.

UMOS also operates four Delegate Migrant Head Start Centers located in Berlin, Beaver Dam, Plainfield, and Spring Lake Wisconsin during the months of June through October. UMOS is funded to provide Migrant Head Start services to 275 migrant and seasonal children, six weeks to five years of age.
