Provider Management Services

UMOS childcare management services consist of providers, clients and fiscal services. The provider service management includes identification, recruitment, selection and monitoring of providers. Providers are selected based on licensing, experience, and an initial visit conducted by the childcare specialist. A contract is generated with all interested providers. All contracting providers have access to training provided by UMOS and available resources. Monitoring of sites is essential in determining that quality services are being provided.

The goal of the monitoring visit is to ensure that environments are conducive and appropriate for children. Client management services comprise of eligibility process, enrollment, orientation into program, and placement of child. All participants will undergo an orientation to the UMOS program prior to actual placements. During the orientation phase, clients are instructed on the enrollment procedure that includes eligibility criteria, co-payments, and payment procedures. Financial management services consist of the review of vouchers for payment, verification of services and payment. This year, under its Indirect Service Model, UMOS served approximately 93 children ages up to 12 years, 11 months of age. UMOS will continue to be flexible and creative in the manner in which we appropriate funding, and in the objectives established to serve migrant children.
