UMOS Childcare Management Services consist
of provider, client and fiscal services. The Provider Service Management
includes identification, recruitment, selection and monitoring of providers.
Providers are selected based on licensing, experience and an initial visit
conducted by the childcare specialist. A contract is generated with all
interested providers. All contracted providers have access to training provided
by UMOS and available resources. In addition, providers are also given an
orientation to the UMOS program prior to actual placement of children.
UMOS provides basic education to academically and economically disadvantaged
adults and youth who desire to progress through life by improving their basic
education level. Improved education enhances employment opportunities.
Education services are provided through the two UMOS One Stop Job Centers,
located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Significant educational services were provided to W-2, WIA-167 and WIA
participants, as well as other under-served youths and adults.
