Migrant Head Start Delegate Program

Services Provided
The Delegate Program provides the same services the Migrant Head Start Grantee program provides, but subcontracted through Teaching and Mentoring Communities, who holds the grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This program funds four UMOS Child Development Centers located in the Wisconsin communities of Aurora, Beaver Dam, Spring Lake, and Plainfield. Families can access services as they arrive in Wisconsin beginning in June, and through October each year. During this time, trained staff cares for children for up to twelve hours per day. UMOS is funded to serve 275 children for the calendar year.

The program adheres to the Head Start Performance Standards as well as local and state mandates. The entire family receives integrated services in Child Development, Family Services, Program Governance, Health, Nutrition, Mental Health, and Disabilities.
