Committed To Children
UMOS is committed to providing each child the tools necessary to acquire the prerequisite skills to be successful in their school career. UMOS has implemented the Strategic Teacher Education Program (S. T.E.P.) and The Center for Improving the Readiness of Children for Learning and Education (C.I.R.C.L.E), in the Department of Pediatrics. These programs are designed for teachers to foster quality emergent literacy strategies in young children. UMOS has also implemented the Child Outcome Framework, which tracks and measures areas like language development, literacy, mathematics and physical and health development. UMOS is committed to aiding each child and their family with preparation to enter the public school systems.
